WMita Introduction
WMita was set up in January 2003, with grant support from AWM, to encourage
the growth of small businesses across the West Midlands by providing them with
a single source for all their ICT needs. It has drawn together an increasingly
large number of reputable local ICT companies and has established a situation
where members can, and do, work together to provide the quality solutions modern
businesses deserve.
Wmita is equally important to its members and their customers.
Members benefit from increased business opportunities, free or subsidised
training, regional and local networking and the chance to complement their
skills with those of fellow members for collaborative ventures.
More details of benefits of membership can be found at Members
Benefits
Customers benefit in having a reputable source from which they can select
appropriate companies to bid for the supply of solutions to their discrete
ICT needs.
For additional customer benefits please see Customer
Benefits
WMita also awards an "Approved ICT Supplier Status" to member companies
who have satisfied the approvals criteria. This includes agreeing to abide
by our Code of Conduct and the provision of three current customer based references
for jobs they have successfully completed. The criteria is further strengthened
by a requirement for mandatory PII Insurance, Peer Group Review and a comprehensive
Web Site Audit.
As individuals we are urged by the Consumer Associations to seek personal
recommendations before we get jobs done around the home. WMita Approved Supplier
Status brings this concept into the ICT business world.
What better recommendation can there be than that supplied by a fellow SME
who has used the company and who is completely satisfied with the results?
All Wmita approved members are proud of the quality they provide and that,
by spreading the use of ICT across the SME community, they are helping to make
the region and its businesses more prosperous.

Membership Benefits
The most significant benefit is that you will be joining an Association that,
by promoting the expanding use of ICT across the region, aims to generate more
business opportunities for all members.
Another major aim is to encourage businesses to work together, to pool complementary
skill sets in order to be able to bid for contracts that would not be possible
as individual businesses. This has already proved to be a successful approach
and is one that WMita intends to further develop.
WMita is broken down into six geographically based branches to provide local
support and networking opportunities. You will be entitled to join any branch.
Further support is available from our head office staff at Blythe Valley,
Solihull.
Membership events are run both locally and centrally and attendance at most
WMita events is free to members.

Customer Benefits
The creation of WMita has, for the first time, given local businesses a "One
Stop Shop" which can satisfy all their ICT requirements.
Whether you are looking for a cartridge for your printer, a single PC, a new
web site, with or without e-commerce, a proprietary financial package or a
complete system specifically written to satisfy your needs, one of our members,
or perhaps several working together, can guarantee to satisfy your needs with
a solution you will be confident about.
Our members cover all aspects of ICT: -
- IT Network
- Hardware including Cabling
- Packaged Software
- Bespoke Solutions
- E-commerce
- On Line Marketing
- Back End Systems Integration
- Training
- Graphic Design
- Multimedia
- Legal Advice
- Presentation Skills
- Consultancy
- Business
- Internet
- Software
- Hardware
If that was not enough we also award the WMita Approved Status to members
who can demonstrate, through customer references, that they have a track record
of supplying quality solutions to the problems of customers from a similar
background to your company. All approved members carry Professional Indemnity
Insurance, and whilst we never expect you to have to claim, it demonstrates
the value our members place on your complete satisfaction with the service
they provide. All applications for approved status are subject to comment from
the rest of the membership, so not only do approved suppliers have to have
been recommended by their customers but they also have to have a quality reputation
with their peer group.

WMita Quality Mark
WMita ICT Approved Supplier Status
In today's demanding environment organisations seeking ICT Solutions are only
willing to commit their business to reputable suppliers.
With this in mind WMita has established an ICT Approved Supplier Status. This
Customer Recommendation/Peer Group Knowledge of Quality of Service based approved
status is aimed to reassure customers that they can obtain quality solutions
that meet their needs on time and within budget.
WMita actively encourages all new and existing members to seek approval in
line with the application process detailed on the WMita website (WMita)
The approved status is renewable annually through a similar reference based
process to the original application.
Approved status tells fellow members and, more importantly, prospective customers
something very important about a business. This is that they have SATISFIED
customers who are happy to recommend them to other businesses. It also tells
customers that they are regarded as a good supplier by the rest of the membership.
This in itself is a valuable reference in that by associating themselves with
the approval of a company the members have put their own professional standing
behind the granting of the approved status and the quality of the solutions
provided.
Couple these reasons with the knowledge that the company's website has been
checked and that they carry Professional Indemnity Insurance and you have found
a supply source that will deliver the solution that your business needs and
deserves.
