SCG group are a consortium of  companies, mainly from the UK West Midlands, each company with specific areas of manufacturing expertise, supplying the Rail Industry with Goods/Services and complete packages of equipment for Bogie and Carriage production. The consortium has one integrator/host company, SCG Solutions Ltd. Customer base is targeted towards all of the Rail Industry OEM's including Bombardier, Alstom, Siemens, Ansaldobreda, CAF, Talgo, Vossloh, etc. Also the SCG supply chain consortium supplies product and services to major Rail depots for fleet upgrades and major re-furbishments, with the capability to provide 'on-site' skilled labour for installation and maintenance services if required. Advantage West Midlands, (part of the UK government Department of Trade and Industry), in conjunction with the UK Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS-WM), have recently selected SCG Solutions to deliver the Rail Industry 'Supply Chain Pilot', which is part of the MAS-WM Rail Industry Development Programme, to develop and improve a selected supply chain working towards the new international rail industry standard 'IRIS'.
