Alan Williams - Managing Director / Owner

Alan has a background in electronics systems with more than 35 years research / advanced engineering programmes experience in the aerospace, automotive, military vehicle, rail, commercial vehicle and motor cycle market segments.

He has extensive business development experience covering a wide range of skills:

• Combines business development with a range of technological expertise
• High degree of persistence and innovative approach
• Acknowledged net workers - wide range of contacts in the world automotive community
• Significant experience in facilitation – of collaborators/partners to form new business and projects
• Managed a diversity of programmes and projects as described briefly below
• Experience of local, national and international funding bodies and have good working relationships with individuals in those bodies
• Innovation and the development of IPR
• Supply chain consultancy
• Change management consultancy
• Also includes SME focused business development activities.

In recent years Alan has been involved in / achieved:

• UK DTI foresight vehicle group, HEAV, UK expert to ISO, RIA, BSI, SAE, MIT WG groups
• Environmental testing and EMC specialist, Chairing SMMT WGs
• George Stephenson and Crompton Lanchester medals from IMeche
• Established the UK Auto Higher Voltage Centre developing hybrid vehicle, transport technology including ITS, safety and electrical systems
• Developed expertise in innovation and funding.
