Dough Moulding Compounds

Dough Moulding Compounds or Bulk Moulding Compounds (DMC or BMC).
DMC is a combination of chopped glass strands with resin in the form of a bulk prepreg. Dough is suitable for compression and injection molding. Injection molding of DMC is used to produce complex components such as electrical equipment, car components (headlamps etc), housings for electrical appliances and tools in large industrial volumes. Phenolics (Bakelite)

Phenolic materials, popularly known as Bakelite, Nestorite or Mouldrite, were the first completely synthetic plastics materials.
Phenol formaldehyde resins have excellent heat resistance and low electrical conductivity. Different fillers such as  mica, and fabrics enable considerable strength and resistance properties to be built into the range of products. Applications range from domestic items such as clocks, fires, radios, toasters and lavatory seats to car components and electrical fittings.

Urea Formaldehyde

Urea formaldehyde (aka  Beetle, Scarab, Mouldrite U) is a transparent thermosetting resin or plastic. Urea-formaldehyde resin's attributes include high tensile strength and HDT, low water absorption, higher surface hardness, elongation at break, and volume resistance.
Urea formaldehyde was commonly used when producing electrical appliances casing for lighting etc.
